This week has been very busy. I wanted a card to send to a friend, I haven't seen in awhile. You know how life gets busy with kids, work and everything. I used  the sketch challenge from I {heart} Sketches with a tWist #165

The front of the card

The inside, bottom of the card.

Use any size or shape, feel free to rotate it, flip it and embellish as you like, but if you use the sketch it should be recognizable!  Use the tWist(s), if you’d like. Or not!

52 New Experiences

  New Experience Two

The  next town over had a Winter Festival a few weekends ago. I guess this festival is an annual occurrence. This year was the first time I had ever attended, the best part of the festival was the ice sculptures. It was really neat to watch them being created with a chainsaw and other small had tools.

This year I challenge everyone to find 52 new things to do with 52 miles of your normal routine. This can be as simple or as complex as you would like. It can be as simple as visiting a new store that you have never been to or go to a free community event you have never been too, or even trying new food on a menu of a restaurant you visit regularly. (I just want to you explore something new to you.)

     2. Continue to keep with my project 52. ( Pocket scrapbooking for each week of

(I just want to you explore something new to you.)
I started this challenge this week by accident. We had to take our youngest son to see a specialist and on the way back we got a little lost. We were hungry and found a restaurant, On Tap Grille & Bar, I had never eaten there. I said lets have lunch and figure out our way home.

Stuck On Us Sketches

I was image surfing on Google, look at project life tags and found this great new site. Stuckonusketches they do sketches and project life challenges. Their current Project life Challenge is add embossing any type. The challenge runs from January 27- February 9  The actually challenge can be found here Stuck on Us Sketches
Here is my embossing challenge:

The snow brads were just pain gray, so I painted them white and then embossed them with a white glittery mix. I did not complete emboss them. I want them to have that fuzzy look so I only melted the embossing powder enough to stick.
I also in embossed the plain white tag and ink only the dry embossed elements. I really like how both turn out.

S.W.A.T--Drill #23 and Challenge Yourself.... One WORD for 2014

S.W.A.T--Drill #23 One WORD for 2014 . and Challenge Yourself  These challenges are to pick one word for 2014 and create one project to showcase that word. The project can be a layout, Art Journal pages, canvas or other altered project.
To make this projected I decided to use a new technique. So, I decided to try melting crayons. I really like how the heart turned out, next time I will not try to add white to the middle of the heart. I decided to make a rainbow heart with the definition of on my word for 2014 in the middle of the heart.
