Happy New Year!
With a new year come a new projects. This year I will try to complete the 52 week project. I am hoping to post a two page layout for each week starting next week. Hope everyone has a good and safe New Year!!

This month I was able to do Sketch challenge and the use wood, stripes and mixed alphas. I  had a hard time finding wood for this layout. I finally found a sword and treasure chest made out of wood at Pat Catans. I had to repaint the sword. The treasure was a simple glue on. I really like how this page turned out. So here is my layout...

Looks, like I am a little late doing week one of Let's get Sketchy, but that ok. You can do any week anytime, as long as you do three sketch you will be entered to win their monthly prize. If you want to be showcase in the top of their blog you have to be posted to the site by Saturday of that week. Let's Capture Our Memories Sketch 31

Today I complete Let's Capture Our Memories Sketch 31 challenge.  As soon as I seen this sketch, I wanted to use a Huey's Mask called Bubble and Dylusions ink by Rangers. I love the way my mask turned out on the side of the page, so I made to do it with my title. If you have never tried Dylusion inks by Ranger  I would strong recommend that you try them. I love playing with them.  So here is my page

We just back from our mini vacation to the Ohio Caverns. I took one look at Let's Get Sketch week four challenge and went that's perfect for the pictures I just took. So here is my take on this weeks sketch.

GCC July Sketch Challenge

I have tried several times to complete the challenges and have been unsuccessful with meeting the deadline. Summer time is very very busy for me. This is the first time I have complete and enter into their contest. Hopefully, I will be able to complete many many many more challenges.

Let's Get Sketchy Week One!! Popsicle Nut!!!

Hope everyone had a great day on this beautiful fourth of July. I know I did, because I got to scrapbook today, spent time with the family and eat lots of good food.

This Layout  is inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week one

I had a lot of fun making this page. I looked everywhere and could not find a blue to match his popsicle, so I made my own.  I started with a piece of white mulberry paper.
( because I want some extra texture) I used two different stamp pads to get the color of blue I wanted. Next, I used an old tube of glitter glue (that the glitter was colored light blue) and I rubbed it all over the page. I am really excited about how well it matches the different textures in his popsicle.

My son is a complete popsicle nut! He eats about four a day even when there is snow on the ground.

Happy fourth of July!!

Wow !! This summer is going fast. I have been working 12 hours days, 6 days a week.. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July.

June--Week 1 Sketch Challenge and Red Carpet Studio

This week at Let's Get Sketchy they have a great little sketch by Jenessa Franco.
I used a pictures of my son  playing at the park last year in the early spring.



 Here my take on the sketch.   I have had this layout done but have had not time to upload it. I am also planning on entering this into Red Carpet Studio...strips "The boy in the striped pajamas"

My cousins daughter is graduation form high school next week and I found myself in need of card. I went in search of a great sketch and I found one, that spoke to me at my first stop at Practical Scrappers. Their May card Sketch by Patty. As soon, as I saw the card sketch I thought,  four small square for pictures one would be a graduation cap, her senior pic, the year and a diploma.

Let's Get Sketchy Week Three

I actually made my goal!!!!!! It was to complete all the sketches at Let's Get Sketchy this month!! My last sketch was week three. (I skipped around the weeks got busy and really wanted to do week four first.)  I actually ended up making kinda of a two page layout.... week four is the first page and week three is the second page.   Here is the sketch..

I could not get a picture without a  glare. I must have taken 20 photo and this is the best photo I have.

Let's Get Sketchy Week Two

 With all the cold weather, I was drawn to create a fall layout again. I used  Let's Get Sketchy week two sketch, to complete this layout of my father and my son trick or treating last fall.

The doily I used was made my late grandma. I used my Ranger Inks to dye it orange to match the paper.

Happy Memorial Day ! It was a lovely rainy day here.  So, I had the morning to rearrange the scrap booking supplies and make scrapbook a page. I am trying to complete every week at  Let's Get Sketchy. I skipped around on the weeks, so this post is for week four.

 My take on the sketch.....

I think I am in the fall mood with all this cold weather around here in Ohio. This is me and my son Trace at the pumpkin patch last fall. I can't believe how much he has grown in such a short amount of time.

Let's Get Sketchy Week One

 I have been busy planting my flowers and garden, which has left little time to scrapbook lately.  I have spend all that time getting my flowers and garden ready and guess what? It is going to freeze tonight. May 25th and is it going to freeze! Ohio weather is just crazy! Last year at this time we were sweating with big beautiful garden that had been in for awhile. So with all the plants covered for the night I needed to be creative. This is my first  Let's  get Sketchy Sketch that I have completed in time to post to there blog.

Week one


Here is my take on the sketch. I couldn't find the right colors I wanted in my stash to make the sunburst. So, I used my ink pads and masking tape to create the  sunburst that I wanted. Hope you all like it.

 

 

 I also inked all the letter to match the sunburst.

Delightful Inspiration Sketch # 15

With the weather breaking a little here in ohio, I seem to making a lot of cards. That's probably because every free hour of daylight light I have has been spend playing in the dirt and mulching.




    At Delightful Inspiration they have a new weekly sketch challenge. I saw this sketch and thought Halloween for some reason, not sure why. Halloween is my favorite holiday by far.

 

 

I really like how this card turned out. I can't wait to send it to the family in FL, with  pictures of Trace's halloween costume and  him trick or treating.

Just a side note

I had a really hard time getting her hair and forhead correct,( it's ok not great). I embossed the bubbles she was blowing.

My Sketch World

There are several challenges each month at My Sketch World.  I really enjoy My Sketch World they are a great group on ladies. You should go check them out.  So, far this month I have only been able to make a few of their card challenges. The frist one is Debbie's embossing card challenge. I made a simple dry embossed card for my mother's birthday in August.

My next card challenge is Karen's Polka Dot Card Challenge also from My Sketch World Forum.

        I missed my Tuesday deadline on the frist week. That's not to good I guess...Sorry we went to the new Hollywood Casino in Columbus Ohio. I did work on a few items on Tuesday I just didn't get them fully completed until tonight. My frist project is a Easter Card which I will enter into the following challenges

Paper Secrets march 15th challenges

For the last few months I have followed and completed several challenges, but I have not turned or linked any of them.  So here is my first try at linking a challenge from Paper Secrets. It is their March 15th sketch with a twist.

Very First Post!!

This is my first attempt at blogging, so please bear with me and my spelling issues. I plan on working on or updating my blog atleast every Tuesday. Now a little bit about myself, I am a scrapbooker. I usually create Layouts, cards and picture frame and anything else I decided to create.( I guess)
