June--Week 1 Sketch Challenge and Red Carpet Studio

This week at Let's Get Sketchy they have a great little sketch by Jenessa Franco.
I used a pictures of my son  playing at the park last year in the early spring.



 Here my take on the sketch.   I have had this layout done but have had not time to upload it. I am also planning on entering this into Red Carpet Studio...strips "The boy in the striped pajamas"

My cousins daughter is graduation form high school next week and I found myself in need of card. I went in search of a great sketch and I found one, that spoke to me at my first stop at Practical Scrappers. Their May card Sketch by Patty. As soon, as I saw the card sketch I thought,  four small square for pictures one would be a graduation cap, her senior pic, the year and a diploma.

Let's Get Sketchy Week Three

I actually made my goal!!!!!! It was to complete all the sketches at Let's Get Sketchy this month!! My last sketch was week three. (I skipped around the weeks got busy and really wanted to do week four first.)  I actually ended up making kinda of a two page layout.... week four is the first page and week three is the second page.   Here is the sketch..

I could not get a picture without a  glare. I must have taken 20 photo and this is the best photo I have.

Let's Get Sketchy Week Two

 With all the cold weather, I was drawn to create a fall layout again. I used  Let's Get Sketchy week two sketch, to complete this layout of my father and my son trick or treating last fall.

Here is my take on this lovely sketch......

 

The doily I used was made my late grandma. I used my Ranger Inks to dye it orange to match the paper.

Week four at Let's Get Sketchy

Happy Memorial Day ! It was a lovely rainy day here.  So, I had the morning to rearrange the scrap booking supplies and make scrapbook a page. I am trying to complete every week at  Let's Get Sketchy. I skipped around on the weeks, so this post is for week four.

 My take on the sketch.....

I think I am in the fall mood with all this cold weather around here in Ohio. This is me and my son Trace at the pumpkin patch last fall. I can't believe how much he has grown in such a short amount of time.

Let's Get Sketchy Week One

 I have been busy planting my flowers and garden, which has left little time to scrapbook lately.  I have spend all that time getting my flowers and garden ready and guess what? It is going to freeze tonight. May 25th and is it going to freeze! Ohio weather is just crazy! Last year at this time we were sweating with big beautiful garden that had been in for awhile. So with all the plants covered for the night I needed to be creative. This is my first  Let's  get Sketchy Sketch that I have completed in time to post to there blog.

Week one


Here is my take on the sketch. I couldn't find the right colors I wanted in my stash to make the sunburst. So, I used my ink pads and masking tape to create the  sunburst that I wanted. Hope you all like it.

 

 

 I also inked all the letter to match the sunburst.

Delightful Inspiration Sketch # 15

With the weather breaking a little here in ohio, I seem to making a lot of cards. That's probably because every free hour of daylight light I have has been spend playing in the dirt and mulching.




    At Delightful Inspiration they have a new weekly sketch challenge. I saw this sketch and thought Halloween for some reason, not sure why. Halloween is my favorite holiday by far.

 

 

I really like how this card turned out. I can't wait to send it to the family in FL, with  pictures of Trace's halloween costume and  him trick or treating.
